BY-ELECTION ANNOUNCED FOR SEPTEMBER 18

Following the shock resignation by Green Councillor Luke Russell there is to be a by-election on Thursday 18 September.

Farnley & Wortley Labour Party welcomes this opportunity to replace the neglect of the ward with a hard working Councillor.

Stephen Towler
Stephen Towler, our local Labour Party Campaign officer says:

“For 10 years the Green Party have neglected the ward and failed to fight for investment and development opportunities in Farnley & Wortley. A Labour Councillor would work closely with John Battle MP and Labour Councillors in the neighbouring areas of Armley, Bramley and Pudsey to ensure we receive our fair share of resources.”

“I work closely with Labour Councillors in Armley, Bramley and Kirkstall and have seen first hand the difference they have made to their communities.

“That change can be made in Farnley and Wortley, starting on September 18th.”
