Wortley Juniors Award night, Farnley Juniors Award night, the AGM of Lower Wortley Community Centre, Gamble Hill Residents Association AGM, Bawn Tenants and Residents Association meetings, Heights East and West Tenants and Residents meetings, PACT (Partners and Communities Together ) meetings in different parts of the ward.

John says:
"I do try to get to all meetings but sometimes I just cannot get to them all. Do let me know what is going on down your street - I am here to help. I regularly drive and walk round Farnley and Wortley ward to keep in touch with people.

For the next year I am on Plans Panel West, Resources and Council Services Scrutiny Board and sub on West Yorkshire Joint Services. I am also a school governor at Five Lanes Primary School in the ward.

I hold regular advice clinics, dealing with housing problems, anti social behaviour, traffic and parking problems to name but a few issues.

I have now been appointed a director of the ALMO West North West Homes."

MOBILE LIBRARY IN NEW FARNLEY

After hearing what residents had to say about the Mobile Library service at New Farnley community centre your Labour Councillor John Hardy has arranged for new services, one on a Tuesday between 18.35pm and 19.30pm and another on a Saturday between 15.45pm and 16.30pm.

The older peoples Mobile Library will now visit fortnightly at The Woodcock between 16.05pm and 16.35pm.
John says:
"A big thank you to all the people who asked that council not stop the mobile library service at New Farnley Community Centre, it was right to listen to what they had to say and the right thing was done.

Please do use the service or we will lose it."
